Danish Biogas Plant Association
The association, its objectives and activities
The association is a nongovernmental organisation of biogas plant owners in Denmark. Its objective is to take care of its members` economic and other interests through negotiations with business relations, authorities or other organisations. In addition, the association acts as a forum for exchange of experience among plant owners and managers, and organises supplementary training for plant managers.
Furthermore it aims to achieve a fair distribution of organic waste and other suitable biomass resources.
Finally the association contributes to increase the awareness of the public about the environmental and social importance of biogas plants.Members are persons, institutions, co-operatives, companies or municipalities who own biogas plants that treat substantial amounts of animal manure.
Subscription can take place when a plant is under preparation.

Biogas plants receive and treat organic industrial waste, which can be recycled within the limits of present legislation, and is suitable for end utilisation as fertiliser on farm land.
